Race for the Case, win prizes & help others 4

I cannot deny the fact that school will be starting very soon.  Summer is so good for the soul, but it feels so short.  We relax, sleep in, stay in pajamas some days, cook whatever we want, make up recipes, and play board games every single day.  Summer is just so much fun, no homework to think about, very few places to go.  But then reality sets in. School will be starting in the blink of an eye and we need to start preparing.  Getting our school supplies together for a new school year is a ritual my kids look forward to.  There is always a huge list of items and a very long trip to Target.  We are lucky enough to be able to buy whatever crazy supplies our schools ask for.  Many children around the world are not as lucky as we are.  This week I have a really fun and easy way you can help!  All of the Cartoon Cuts, located in FL , MD and VA, are having a fun scavenger hunt this week.  Please visit Cartoon Cuts in Dulles Town Center, Woodbridge, or Fair Oaks Mall if you are local to me, on Thursday August 6, 2015.  Between 10am and 8 pm pencil cases will be hidden around each location.  What is inside these pencil cases? Gift certificates for free haircuts, DVDs, pencils, combs, and gift cards.  Are you wondering how you will find clues to where these pencil cases are hidden? Simple, you will need to follow Cartoon Cuts on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. I will also be posting all the clues to help you find prizes, so if you are not following me already, now is the time!  I am on Twitter and Instagram, as well as on Facebook.

To make this event possible, Cartoon Cuts has partnered with Pencils of Promise, a for-purpose organization that builds schools in developing countries.  For everyone who shares the hashtag #raceforthecase on social media, Cartoon Cuts will donate $1 to Pencils of Promise. The money donated, will go towards their $25,000 goal, which will build a school in Guatemala.  You can read more about the scavenger hunt here.

Can’t make it to a Cartoon Cuts salon on August 6? Don’t have one in your area? You can simply help the #RacefortheCase via social media. For each social media post using the hashtag #RaceForTheCase, Cartoon Cuts will donate $1 to PoP, so what are you waiting for? Retweet one of my tweets, or send one of your own.  One last option is also available, if you would like to help build this school in Guatemala. You can make an online donation, no amount is too small, here.

Finally, here is a very funny Cartoon Cuts Harlem Shake video for your enjoyment.

Disclosure: I received a Cartoon Cuts gift card exchange for helping to promote the Race for the Case campaign. I did not receive any further compensation and all opinions are my own.
