Easy Whipped Cream

easy whipped cream, vitamix aer makes whipped cream in 30 seconds

Fresh whipped cream is a family favorite. It tastes so much better than the stuff that comes in a can. The way we always made whipped cream involved the stand mixer and patience while it whipped to perfection. The Vitamix Aer is a kitchen game changer. We can now make this easy whipped cream in under a minute. I featured the Vitamix Aer in my Foodie Gift Guide earlier this month here.

Vitamix E310 with the Vitamix Aer attachment

I have owned a Vitamix for the past 25 years. It still works perfectly fine and is an amazing machine. It is not just a blender, it can make soup, amazing smoothies, salad dressings and much more. I received the Vitamix E310 to review, along with the Aer attachment in order to write this post. The Vitamix Aer container is a kitchen game changer. Every home chef will enjoy all the recipes that can be made with the Aer container.

  • Whip: You can whip things quickly to a perfect consistency. An easy whipped cream can be made in under a minute. Fresh hot cocoa can be made in under two minutes. The best part is that the Aer whips to the perfect consistency and then stops. No overmixing or overbeating. This is a great way to whip eggs for meringues, or aquafaba (check this post if you do not know what aquafaba is)for a vegan dessert.
  • Emulsify: Making a hollandaise sauce is usually a pretty complicated project. It is no longer a problem when using the Vitamix Aer. You simply add all your ingredients to the Aer container and blend for a few minutes. Aioli’s and vinaigrettes are also emulsified with ease.
  • Foam: We no longer buy our fancy coffees with foam at the local coffee shop. Now we make them at home. The Aer can create foam in seconds. Simply put your favorite coffee into the container and it froths up with a foam on top. You can also foam up your favorite milk.
  • Muddle: The muddle ability will allow you to whip up mojitos in minutes! Muddling is often a time-consuming activity, but with the Aer you can create cocktails easily. You can also make delicious drinks with ice that will be perfectly crushed.

brownie trifle for one, easy whipped cream made in the vitamix aer blender

The first recipe that I made in the Vitamix Aer was easy whipped cream. Add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 1 tsp of vanilla, and 2 TB of powdered sugar. Slowly increase the speed until 5. After about 45 seconds your whipped cream will be ready and the machine will stop spinning. With the homemade whipped cream, I created personal brownie trifles. This recipe could not be easier. Make some brownies (homemade or from a box) and crumble them into a small bowl. Top with your fresh whipped cream and grate some chocolate on top with a microplane grater. A perfect dessert for one!

Here you can see the perfect whipped cream. When the whipped cream is ready, you will see four perfect pillows of cream. I am never making whipped cream with a whisk or a stand mixer again.

One more super simple recipe you should try in the Vitamix Aer is hot cocoa. Simply pour 2 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the Aer container. Start at the lowest setting and slowly increase to the highest speed. Let it run for 5-6 minutes and enjoy the best cup of cocoa you will ever have. No artificial ingredients, just milk, and chocolate chips.

The Vitamix Aer is a great way to save time, especially around the holidays. I would rather be playing games with my kids then whipping cream for hours. I remember my Mother-In-Law used to spend so much time whisking her whipped cream for all the holiday pies. I wish I could show her how the Aer magically transforms the whipped cream process.
