This school year has been cut short by the Coronavirus pandemic. We sadly missed the last 2 1/2 months of school in the physical building. Our school quickly turned to online distance learning but I know my middle schooler missed out on a lot of content. This summer we will be staying at home and it won’t be long until I hear, “Mom, I am so bored.” I have been looking for a summer learning activity that would be educational and fun. I am excited to share with you the awesome set of books we will be using this summer.

colorful summer math workbook

Each page of the Everything you Need to Ace Math in one big notebook is colorful, engaging, and easy to understand. The books are set up to cover all the material you will need to learn in one subject of middle school. Each chapter ends with a way to check if you understand the concepts that were taught. There are no quizzes or tests, just information followed by knowledge checks. My daughter finds these books to be a low-stress way to learn all of the core subjects. Mom loves that almost all the books in the series can be found on Amazon for less than $10! It is so hard to find a good summer learning activity that is educational, well priced, and entertaining for the kids.

When my kids were little their favorite summer learning activity was the Brain Quest games. We kept these fun questions in the car and the kids loved them. This book series was created by the editors of Brain Quest and the pictures in the books are just as cute as I remember them. As a Mom and a teacher, I cannot resist these fun and colorful notebooks. I keep asking my daughter if she is ready to read them with me, secretly hoping her answer will always be yes! I only wish my notebooks looked this cute when I was in school.
