Gifts for dog lovers
Our rescue dog Molly is the most important member of our family. The day she joined us was the day we know our family was complete. Molly can somehow know who needs some attention and love and who needs a helping hand. Cuddles, hugs, and long walks are all beloved by Molly. Treats have a special place in her heart.
Molly knows which cabinet we keep the dog treats in. Whenever someone walks near that cabinet, she sits up straight, and lifts up her paw to ask for a treat. She is so cute as she sits there waiting for her reward, never doubting that there will be a dog treat coming her way. The mini blogger wanted to create a special jar to keep Molly’s treats in. She gathered some simple craft supplies and one large Ball mason jar. I let my mini blogger get crafty and she had the best time.
As she crafted her perfect treat jar Molly watched carefully. She was not happy that the crafting part took so long. The crafting took a few simple steps:
- Cut a pretty fabric square for your lid.
- Write your pet’s name on a card.
- Use stickers to decorate the jar.
- Add some bells to the lid to look festive.
- Ribbons make everything look nicer, so add a few of those
- Paint on a few stars with glitter glue.
- Pour in your treats and your pet will enjoy treats in their jar all year long!

Thank you! Molly is such a sweet dog, and such a cutie! I hope you will make a personalized treat jar for your pet.
This is such a great idea. I don’t have any dogs, but do know many with dogs. I’d love to do this, but for my cats.
You can easily make a personalized treat jar for your cats! I know they will love it.
My dog loves this stuff. He would eat a whole bag if I let him! Such a cute jar!
Molly would eat a whole bag of Santa Snacks if she could! Luckily she cannot open the mason jar 🙂
Such a well behaved pup!! I know what you mean about knowing where the treats are kept. For Jack it’s the sound of a cheese wrapper. Doesn’t matter where he is it’s a sound he loves!! I am so not crafty but this treat jar looks easy enough for me to make. I think it makes a great gift idea for the dog or cat lovers in our lives so thanks for sharing.
Isn’t it amazing how smart Molly and Jack are! I am constantly amazed with Molly knowing so many things. She also loves the sound of cheese opening. I think Jack needs one of these personalized treat jars!
My yorkie would love getting these treats for Christmas. I don’t give him a ton of treats because I feel like they are similar to junk food and he already has tummy troubles.
OH no! If your Yorkie has tummy troubles, treats are probably best used sparingly.
My dogs love Blue Buffalo so I am sure they would love the santa snacks too! I love this craft idea for dog lovers! I know I would love to receive one and they are also so easy to make!
I am sure your dogs would love some Santa snacks!
