Stew Leonard’s birthday gifts 42

Stew Leonard’s is a chain of grocery stores in the Northeast of the United States. I remember visiting the Danbury, Connecticut, location more than 20 years ago. The staff was so kind, the food was so good, and it made an impression on me that has lasted over two decades. They are known for treating their customers with kindness and also for having fresh, delicious foods. They are opening their sixth location in East Meadow, New York next year. They carefully curate only 2,000 items per store so that they can focus on very high quality items. The management is conscious to take very good care of their employees so that they in turn, take good care of the customers.

This family run business takes customer service very seriously. Each store has two rules engraved on a huge granite rock at the entrance to each location:

  1. The customer is always right.
  2. If the customer is ever wrong, re-read rule #1.

I want to get these sayings put up in my house, but I will change it to: Mom is always right. Wonder what my kids would think? If you have never visited a Stew Leonard’s before, watch this video to see how much fun shopping can be.

Did you know it is my birthday next week? In honor of my birthday, Stew Leonard’s Gifts sent me this beautiful gift basket. My basket contained 4 individually wrapped Brownie Bash squares, along with some super fresh fruits. The apples were firm, crunchy and oh so sweet. The mango was one of the juiciest and best fruits I have ever had. And the orange tasted like it was just picked from the tree. I did not get to sample much of the Brownie Bash squares because my five kids dove in and ate them all without leaving me a crumb. The kids loved all the different chocolate chips and chocolate drizzles swirled into each brownie. The brownie was moist and delicious and the toppings were exceptional. If you do not live in New York or Connecticut, you can still enjoy something special from this amazing store. They sell a lovely selection of gifts you can send to yourself or someone else.
