Teriyaki Tofu
Teriyaki Tofu is an easy, tasty, and healthy, meatless Monday meal. Seeds of Change just launched these new simmer sauces in pouches. I was a fan of the jarred sauces, but these pouches are even better. Seeds of Change started as a seed and organic food company. They are expanding their product line to include these delicious sauces as well as ready to eat rice pouches. Each of the 8oz pouches is very convenient and helps busy people add a quick boost of flavor to their protein.
These sauces come in 5 flavors: taco roasted chipotle, mushroom, sesame ginger teriyaki, sweet and sour, and tikka masala (not pictured). These simmer pouches retail for just over $3 and can be found at Target, Meijer, Albertsons, Publix, Harris Teeter and Price Chopper. The pouch is filled with healthy ingredients that are all certified USDA Organic. Each pouch is easy to open and pour. Seeds of Change takes pride in every ingredient, as they are grown by trusted farmers. They donate 1% of their sales to support and develop sustainable community-based gardening and farming programs. Plus, Seeds of Change has awarded more than $1 million dollars in grants to support gardening and farming programs across the USA.
Today’s recipe is a simple teriyaki tofu. The first step for this recipe is to get all the moisture out of your tofu. I wrapped my extra firm tofu in a number of paper towels and then I pressed the water out. If you prefer to use chicken or beef that is fine too, any protein will do.
Brown your tofu pieces in some olive oil. This will make your tofu pieces tastier and hold up better in the sauce. When the tofu is brown, take them out and set them aside.
Use whatever vegetables your family enjoys. Brown the vegetables in a little bit of olive oil. Once the vegetables are brown, add your browned protein back in.
Pour the Seeds of Change simmer sauce of your choice right over the protein and vegetables. Simmer for 5-10 minutes and then serve over rice.

That looks delicious! I love tofu when it’s cooked right. It’s developed a bad reputation because it wasn’t prepared correctly. When you do it right, it is SUPER tasty! I can’t wait to try this.
I totally agree with you. Tofu gets a bad rap for no good reason!

We need more grocery stores in our area that carry things like this. We don’t have even one of the stores on the list in my small town. The closest one is Target and that is 45 minutes away, one way.
Sounds like you have a big challenge! You must have to be very organized when you go shopping. What about ordering on Amazon, can you do that?
i have always been a big teriyaki fan … love the sweetness of the sauce. What I never had or tried was teriyaki tofu — I wished I thought of that already since I have been trying to watch out what I eat since being pregnant. Will totally try this asap!
