Allergy Remedies
Allergy season arrived in the DC metro area a few weeks ago. The pollen is everywhere and some members of my family suffer from allergy symptoms. Finding the right allergy remedies is challenging. I worry about the ingredients in these products, and I also wonder if allergy medications can be more harmful than helpful. This was our first year trying the Similasan products and we have been quite pleased with the results.
The first thing that interested me in the Similasan products were the natural active ingredients. These plant-based products are made with eyebright (Euphrasia) and sabadilla lily (sabadilla). I also like these eye relief drops because they do not include any vasoconstrictors in them. One more bonus, you can use these eye drops while wearing your contact lenses, which is a great benefit!
Similasan products originated in Switzerland almost 40 years ago. This popular European brand is now growing in popularity across North America. The difference between Similasan products and other products is that these engage your body’s natural defenses in order to support your immune system.
There are eight types of products in the Similasan line:
- Eye Relief
- Ear Relief
- Cough and Cold
- Nasal and Sinus
- First Aid
- Sleep and Stress
- Baby
- Digestive Aids
The Allergy Eye Relief drops are our favorite product in the lineup. My teen daughter can use them by herself. They are easy to dispense and work quickly on her itchy red eyes. The best part of these drops is that you can use them as often as necessary with no side effects. They come in convenient single-use droppers or in a bottle. Doctors recommend that each person in your family use a different bottle. The single-use droppers are great to keep in my purse or travel bag. These preservative free drops are really helping our allergy symptoms this year.
Before you go shopping make sure you print a coupon to save on your next purchase. A store locator list is found here. We like to buy these products on Amazon, or locally at CVS, Giant Eagle, Rite Aid, Safeway, Target, Walgreens, Walmart, Wegmans, or Whole Foods Market.
There is no need to stop our outdoor activities or social get-togethers when we have these easy to use products available.
I received this product for free from Moms Meet to review and I have posted my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.
